HOOPER ROAD CROSS COUNTRY RACE JANUARY 16TH, BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA |
LOCATION: HOOPER RD PARK, BATON ROUGE, LA
Cost: $15
Distance: we're looking at about an hour. just like lense crafters.
Race begins at 10 a.m.
Men's A and B categories. Men's 35+, Women's A and 35+, Junior's-that means under 18.
How will we run laps out there? Isn't it 120% single track that hardly makes a normal loop?
Show up and you'll see.
The race will start/run/ and finish at the Comite Trail. We will register at Comite.
You are going to meet at the main trail at Hooper park. You will then have the option to GROUP ride through the woods like good folks to Comite where everyone will assemble for the event. The trail will be marked from Hooper to Comite. It's about a 15 min single track ride. Real fun. Yahoo. Whoopie! (not that kind of woopie) Those that wish can drive to the Comite trail. Directions are being charted........come back soon or contact us.
After we've worn ourselves out riding circles through the trees on the Comite side, the option of riding back to the Hooper parking area is open to riders that wish.....awards will be held at Comite.

we're working on driving directions to comite to accomodate specator needs. again, i need just a few minutes please.
Directions Hooper's Main park: I-110 Baton Rouge toward the airport. exit @ the airport (hooper rd) and take a right, continue past first light (plank rd) and stop at the second light. take a LEFT into the neighborhood (sharron hills). DON'T SPEED! continue to the stop sign (its a "T") take a RIGHT (Guynell) and you'll end up on a phresh gravel parking lot. You're there! Right!Left!Right. simple.
