Bicycle Connection Time Trial

March 3, 1996 Results
The second annual NOBC Bicycle Connection Time Trial served as the kick-of event for the local 1996 racing season. Despite the chilly upper-30's temperatures at the 7:30 a.m. start, over 60 riders competed in the event held just downriver from the New Orleans Metro area in Chalmette, Louisiana. Although hampered slightly by the out-and-back route's suboptimal road surface, riders were spared the strong winds that accompanied last year's event, and had to contend with only a very light headwind on the outward leg. Posting the fastest times this year were Mike Williams with a 28:29 and Rosanne Simmons with a 31:24 in the men's and women's overall divisions, respectively.
