COURSE and EVENT INFORMATION

The eighth annual Lakeshore Rocktoberfest has developed into the area's classic end-of-season road event. As in prior years, this race will be the final event of the LAMBRA Cycling Cup road racing points series (LCCS). Come join us for this annual event and enjoy some food, fun and relaxation with the Louisiana and Mississippi bicycle racing community. This year we will be racing on the Roosevelt Mall loop in the New Orleans City Park. The Criterium course is a 1-mile flat non--technical circuit with two corners and two sweeping curves (see map). The course will be closed to traffic except for a short section of Golf Drive where traffic (if any) will be controlled by police officers. The road surface is good to fair except for a long centerline crack on Palm Drive and a bump at the crest of the bridge on Palm Drive. For that reason, the race will be restricted to the right-hand lane along Palm Drive.
